Manners for Children are for children ages 7-10.
Purpose and Objectives:
The students will learn principles of etiquette and how to treat others and themselves with respect. The focus of this course is:
- Developing healthy, safe and respectful relationships.
- Developing respect for ourselves and others.
- Becoming a considerate and compassionate person.
- Developing and using proper, respectful communication.
- Developing and using proper etiquette in shared spaces.
Please note the components:
Basic Manners is a session designed to teach basic courtesy, compassion, and respect.
Communication teaches proper introductions, greetings, conversational skills, thank you notes, letters, and E-manners.
Proper Hygiene focuses on respecting ourselves.
- –We discuss cleanliness, posture, how we sit, and gum chewing.
- –Piercing, body art, and smoking are optional/additional subjects for the older students.
Table Manners for Teens and Children
Table Manners for Children involve studying the basic rules, body language, positive behavior, conversation, utensil placement and use, and napkin rules.
Purpose and Objectives:
The students will learn principles of table manners and how to apply it to their everyday life.
- Becoming aware and using the basic rules of table manners.
- Developing proper body language and conversation for the table.
- Learning napkin rules, utensil placement and use.
Becoming self-confident in their table manners skills.
Growing Up Socially Savvy
Perfect Etiquette for 7-16 Year Olds
The student will learn principles of etiquette and how to treat others and herself/himself with respect. She/he will also become more self-assured with poise and grace.
The focus of this is:
- Developing a positive self-image.
- Creating a basic knowledge of how we affect the space around us.
- Developing basic courtesy, respect for others and him/herself
- Becoming a considerate and compassionate person
- Learning proper introductions and greetings
- Developing written and conversational skills, and e-manners
- Becoming aware of body language: proper posture, cleanliness, etc.
- Becoming aware and using the basic rules of table manners
- Developing proper body language and conversation for the table
- Learning napkin rules, utensil placement and use
- Becoming self-confident in their table manner’s skills
